Mangold in Dusseldorf

This place is pretty good high quality food but sometimes they are a little forgetful with requests hence doesbt quite make the 5 stars

Nice corner bar in Düsseldorf - very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere Umgang. Corona rules implemented super! And the salad with chicken and house dressing is simply delicious 😋

Breakfast in the Mangold and the beautiful, cozy terrace in summer are particularly recommended. Unfortunately, the interior looks a bit rustic.

The Mangold offers extremely tasty dishes and cocktails. The octopus salad with caper apples is delicious and my absolute favorite. The crème brulée with fresh vanilla and fruit is also highly recommended!

Reliably tasty, something for every taste. The service is super nice and very courteous. But you should have cash with you ☺️

Veal ragout with spaetzle and mushrooms was very tasty, and the sauce cooked on wine rounded off the meat with an enjoyable note. The service was courteous, friendly and also fulfilled a special request. I can recommend the restaurant without hesitation.

Swiss chard has been rated for top quality and delicious dishes for years, it is a safe haven for gourmets

A lovely impromptu evening with friends on a terrace keeping distance. Great service, friendly staff and a great atmosphere

Today we had dinner with a larger group in the Mangold. Food was nowhere near the level that one is used to or was used to. The burger patty (with all) could be used as a rubber ball. Although the menu says Medium to Medium Well, the degree of doneness was far behind through. The plates were exchanged for wooden boards or aluminum bowls, which created a bit of a hype. For the ambitious price, poor quality. Even after it had already been mentioned in the restaurant, it was justified with a bad day for the chef and then skilfully ignored. A former favorite restaurant for me was no longer recommended. There are still 2 stars because you were used to other visits from various previous visits.

Very nice service. The breakfast was delicious and everything was fresh. The prices are very moderate for Düsseldorf. There is a clear recommendation.

Very nice staff. Good food and a good selection of drinks. Before Corona, there were various breakfast offers for a very long time during the day. We had hoped for that late in the afternoon. Unfortunately there wasn't. Chips with the burger have to be paid extra. That made it a little too expensive.

Tested the Mangold again 2 Fridays in a row with changing "occupation". Nice that there is still such a service. The service was great on both evenings, even with a mask you could feel the smile. Food really good and a decent wine selection. We watched the bar area being cleaned shortly before the end of the day, absolutely great. Keep it up.

Waited in vain for operation for over 10 minutes. Even when asked whether there was service outside, the question was sloppy and annoyed: What do you want to drink? I said please come out then my wife will tell you what we want to drink. Then we sat another 5 minutes and nothing happened. Thank you but I don't spend my money here anymore.

The "Mangold" offers everything you need to feast and enjoy. It has good seating outside. The food is delicious and the service extremely friendly!

On Sundays you have to expect longer waiting times for breakfast / brunch times. In the week for it really very quickly. Otherwise very nice waiters and nice atmosphere.

Quite a good place in the restaurant industry. The dishes look appetizing, but when you try this sensation is broken by the freshness, it feels like they don't know what salt is in this place. There is no beer at all, with a watery taste. Service is so-so, you can't wait for a waiter.

Very friendly staff, unfortunately run out of ice for Cocktail happy hour ne außer of a broken machine but besides flawless. willing to rate 5/5 next time I visit, definitely a recommendation

It was too loud, Friday evening. Ate a hamburger which could have been better. Also paid 4 euro for a regular sized baked sliced potato with butter. The desert was also a small portion for the money. Overall was not worth it.

Awesome staff, always witty and humorous, friendly & kind. Great food options here especially for breakfast, great pancakes, lovely coffee too. Love to sit outside here in the spring & summer weekend mornings. Very good place for groups also, lots of space.

Luckily managed to get a seat outside, last night as this is a really popular place. Excellent service, really good, from a woman who had lived four years in New Zealand. I went back today because I thought I'd left my watch on the table. The waiter said he was too busy to look behind the bar or ask anyone. Nobody is too busy to do that. Service goes beyond bringing drinks to the table. We didn't just have a couple of coffees either, we spent around €80. If he can't spare a few seconds, as busy as he was, then I would suggest he's in the wrong job.

I went there with my boyfriend to try the tuna steak and octopus because of the generally good reviews of this place, but it was a bummer. Besides the really good gin tonic (which the 2 stars are for) and the initially nice personnel, everything was disappointing, especially considering the price range. The octopus was burned, the side dish was tasteless but drained in oil, the tuna didn't taste of ANYTHING but sesame and the entire dish felt like a really spontaneous "fridge cleansing" spree. We had to wait a lot both to be served and to pay, and the waitress didn't even bother to offer us the change (she assumed it was all her tip). Maybe they're just not good with anything else but salad or burgers, but they should try a little bit harder.

The breakfast is delicious and there is a wide choice, whether sweet or savory. The place is very big and can accommodate a lot of people. However, this also means that the service does not follow properly or sometimes loses track of things. You can also sit outside very well. Prices are ok.

Burger had a really thick patty but it was like eating a packet of mince between 2 buns, couldn't eat it without cutting it. I had sweet potato fries as an additional side which were good. Quite expensive and the service was a bit slow.

Everytime we visit, they leave no chance to complain. Great service, good and healthy food. Drinks were the best. Salad was wholesome and in the right amount.

I have often eaten in chard and have tried some dishes. Especially tuna chefs can prepare great. At noon, the chard has special lunch dishes such as a chicken bowl. Super delicious and cheaper than 10 € :) Also all the desserts that are sold here have all tasted very good. Especially the Oreo cheesecake and the lava cake are really great! Last time I also tried the chicken salad and was pleasantly surprised. When I had eaten the salad a year ago he did not like me so much, but this time he was much better. The salad should be cut before eating something smaller, so it is easier to eat. The atmosphere is relaxed and you do not have to reserve a table. Many dishes have some special ingredients that do not suit everyone, like Capers, wasabi, mushrooms or olives. I can especially recommend a visit if you have not been there yet.

Excellent breakfast/brunch and coffee. Even when crowded, the staff was very friendly and appropriately fast.
